The Frist Center for the Visual Arts invited the public to participate in a project photo-documenting the Nashville community. One thousand disposable cameras were distributed for people to capture particular aspects of their community they noticed, were moved by, or would like to see changed. A selection of those photographs will be on display in the education corridor and through an online exhibition. Cameras and Community in Action was organized in conjunction with the Ingram Gallery exhibition, Carrie Mae Weems: Three Decades of Photography and Video.
