Reelfoot Lake State Park is offering naturalist guided hikes into one of most unique areas of Reelfoot Lake. Little Ronaldson Slough has one the largest stands of old growth Bald Cypress trees found in Tennessee. This area is usually accessible only by canoe or kayak, but because of the historical low water levels it is now accessible by hiking. However, this is not a traditional trail or guided hike; it is a true woods walk into a very remote area. This is a place few people have visited, and it could be years before these trips are offered again. Hikes are offered on Sat. and Sun., through November 18. For more information call 731-253-8003.
