A Lunchtime Lecture Series at the East Tennessee State University and General Shale Brick Natural History Museum and Visitor Center at the Gray Fossil Site features an educational and entertaining lecture each month. The public is invited to bring a “brown-bag lunch” to these lectures, which begin at noon and are sponsored by the Don Sundquist Center of Excellence in Paleontology. The next lecture will be “Geologia y Paleontologia de Canal de Panama (Geology and Paleontology of the Panama Canal)” presented by Jeffrey Martin, paleontology graduate student at ETSU, on Friday, October 5th. Jeff will share his experiences traveling to Panama to conduct research during the summer of 2012. All Lunchtime Lectures are FREE and open to the public.
