Bring out the bouzouki, bodhran and bones, add a hammered dulcimer and fiddle. Oh, and don't forget four very talented musicians and you have Four Leaf Peat and PAART's next First Friday performance event. Four Leaf Peat will take the stage at the beautiful, historic Palace Theatre on March 1st to kick off Irish-American Heritage Month. Four Leaf Peat (FLP) was born out of the Irish traditional music scene in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is dedicated to honoring and preserving the spirit of Irish music. While grounded in tradition and influenced by Ireland's traditional pipers, fiddlers and singers, FLP also bows a hat to the more recent innovators of Irish music such as The Bothy Band, Planxty, Dervish and Lunasa. Four Leaf Peat is Chad Beauchaine - fiddle, Gil Draper - guitar, vocals, mandolin & bouzouki, Jason Herrera - bodhran, vocals, flute & whistle, Rick Hall - hammered dulcimer, bodhran, vocals, whistle & bones. Start your St. Patrick's Day celebration early with this evening of traditional Irish music. The performance begins at 7 pm central time on Friday, March 1. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for students and can be purchased by calling the Palace Theatre at 931-484-6133 or online at www.palacetheatre-crossville.com.
