Lucas Oil PRO Motocross Championship Comes to Tennessee
MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli Sports, a division of NBC Sports Group, announced the 2013 schedule for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing.
For the first time since 1997 the schedule will feature a stop in the southeastern United States. Victory Sports’ Muddy Creek Raceway in Blountville, Tenn., will be host to Round 3 of the series on June 1. Muddy Creek Raceway is 10 miles from Bristol Motor Speedway. This move ends an exhaustive search over the past few years to get an event placed in the southeast. Muddy Creek Raceway was chosen because it is an excellent natural-terrain motocross course with great dirt and a long history of hosting quality events. The last time the AMA Motocross Championship visited Tenn. was in 1977 in Nashville.
Spectators will get the chance to witness the fastest racers (factory & privateer) on the planet in head-to-head competition, while enjoying a day outside interacting with elite series sponsors. The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is the pinnacle of professional motocross racing, attracting the world’s most fit and talented athletes to compete on the country’s toughest and most scenic motocross tracks.
June 1 at Muddy Creek Raceway. Practice gets underway at 8:30am, qualifying at 10:00am, and racing at 1:00pm. INFO = www.victory-sports.com
