Music on Main Street in Lobelville - SATURDAY, JUNE 1st! Perry County’s ambitious Music on Main Street, the all-Summer and every-Saturday-night concert series is back for its fifth season this year, alternating from week-to-week again, between Linden and Lobelville. The weekly and free-admission music series comes to Lobelville (just 8 MILES south of I-40, exit 143 / the Loretta Lynn exit) this Saturday night, June 1st , @ 7:30 PM... with local favorites LOST CREEK and other special guests!!! And every Saturday night this Summer, each weekend in either Linden or Lobelville at 7:30 PM, the music will feature a vast array of musical styles and performances, including Nashville Jazz Workshop’s Evan Cobb, Country Music Hall-of-Fame harmonica man CHARLIE McCOY, a Johnny Cash tribute with his son JOHN CARTER CASH, singer/songwriter and CBS’s Survivor: South Pacific finalist Whitney Duncan, music festival workhorses Blue Mother Tupelo, all-fun, all-girl band The Granny Whites, dobro expert Mike Webb, country crooner T. Graham Brown, Nashville country newcomers Brent Cobb, Brinley Addington, Chancie Neal, Chris Cavanaugh, Brent Anderson, Briana Tyson and Doug McCormick, harpist Deanna Loveland, Nashville’s queen of the blues Marion James, and many other talented musicians, singers and bands! The Department of Veteran Affairs will have a US military veteran assigned to start every concert with a few words and the Pledge of Allegiance. The Lobelville shows will again happen at Main Street Music Park, right next to the Lobelville City Hall & Library on Highway 13 South. Linden’s concerts will happen in front of the Perry County Courthouse on Linden’s refurbished Courthouse Square. All shows are “rain or shine”, with nearby stand-by indoor locations, in the event of any threatening weather. All of these summer-long, outdoor concerts will again be free admission.
