Clarksville celebrates its river heritage with Riverfest. Clarksville’s Riverfest Celebration is the City of Clarksville’s music and fine arts celebration. This two-day FREE festival offers a variety of musical and visual art entertainment, delicious food, inflatables for children of all ages, and lots of river related activities all set along the banks of the beautiful Cumberland River. The festival is traditionally held in September, the weekend after Labor Day. Riverfest features two large stages with more than 45 performances by local, regional, and national entertainers. There are children and teen rides and thrill activities, hands-on arts and craft activities for children, hot air balloon rides, and more interactive activities for the entire family. More than 14 different food vendors are offered at the Riverfest food court along with soda, water, and specialty beers. Riverfest offers an eclectic variety of fine art from over 200 juried artists including painting, watercolor, sculpture and 3D works, mixed media compositions, drawings, and photography.
