Fiber in the Boro, Murfreesboro’s biggest fiber festival, will be held on November 2th. The Saturday will be a full festival day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with knitting, spinning, felting classes and more!
We’ll have a market with more than 30 vendors. Knitters, spinners, fans of sheep and alpacas, and families alike will find something fun at the event. Children’s activities are planned throughout the day. Lunch will be available at the Blue Porch’s booth.
Festival admission is free. Classes have a fee and the schedule and registration are at www.fiberintheboro.com. This year, expert knitter, spinner and author Lynne Vogel will have brief “The Doctor is In” problem-solving consultations available by registration.
Vendors will sell yarn, fiber, finished textiles, fiber equipment, handmade soap and other delights. They include independent dyers who will bring all the colors of the spectrum, alpaca farmers, felters, knitting shops, silk dyers and more. A complete list of vendors and their websites can be found at www.fiberintheboro.com. Find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Fiber-in-the-Boro/228568257180858
