Grand Illumination on the River

Come to scenic Ross’s Landing for a beautiful showcase of lighted boats decorated for the season and parading on the Tennessee River between Veteran’s Bridge and the Olgiati Bridge. Recognized many times as a Top Twenty Event in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society, this holiday tradition also features entertainment by The Metropolitan Bells on the riverbank stage and a live Nativity scene by First Baptist Church – Soddy Daisy. Booths filled with crafts and warm food and drink concessions will add to the holiday cheer.
8:00 – 9:00 PM Following the lighted boat parade, this FREE holiday celebration continues with a fun-filled stage show at Ross’s Landing featuring lively song and dance performances by the Lindsay Fussell Dancers and Choo Choo Kids. Then, the popular Singing Santa will take the stage and dazzle the audience with his unique brand of showmanship guaranteed to ignite the holiday spirit in children of all ages.
Santa will then lead the audience in a special community candlelight ceremony, encouraging participants to spread the light and the joy of the Yuletide one candle at a time. The celebration candles may be purchased on-site throughout the show.
As Santa signals the illumination of 130 downtown buildings, the cityscape will come aglow for the holiday season. A glittering Fireworks Finale will bring the evening to a colorful conclusion.
