Raptor Round-Up
Meet Chattanooga Nature Center's resident raptors up close and personal. Our staff will introduce you to these awesome birds and their specialized adaptations. Learn how an owl can hunt in the dark and how a red-tailed hawk can see its prey from lofty heights. Measure your wingspan and compare it to a raptor's wingspan. Count how many wing beats you can make in 10 seconds and compare it to a bird's wing beat speed. This program is appropriate for families with children ages 5 and up. Participants have admission to the CNC and Reflection Riding Arboretum and Botanical Garden for the day. Space is limited to 50 people. This program is free with paid admission to the CNC. The cost for non-member is $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 4 to 11, and $4 for seniors.
