Chattanooga Dragon Boat Festival
The most popular water sport lands in a city known for its outdoor recreation and re-vitalized waterfront on August 4, 2007, the same date as the anticipated Grand re-opening ceremonies for the Market Street Bridge. The Inaugural Chattanooga Dragon Boat Festival kicks off at Ross's Landing and races launch all day under the newly reconstructed bridge. Paddlers raise money to benefit the T.C. Children's Hospital Foundation. For detailed information on the festivites, including a concert following the races during the Riverfront Night series.
