Fall Foliage Boat Ride on Tennessee River
Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a pontoon boat ride on the Tennessee River on Saturday, October 27, leaving from the public boat dock at 10:00, 12:00 and 2:00. Tickets are $10 per person. Rides will go up to Lady Bluff, past the Bussletown Wildlife Refuge, under the York Bridge on Rt. 412, down to Cedar Creek, and back to Mousetail State Park, about an hour and a half ride, with brochures outlining some of the history of the river. The leaves are turning color now, and the air is crisp. A jacket or sweater is recommended for the ride. All boats are pontoon boats, very comfortable getting on and off. What a great way to enjoy a crisp fall weekend!
Tickets may be purchased online, or at least call and reserve your seat. Seating is limited, and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
