2008 SunDrop Country State Championship BBQ Cook-Off & Kid's "Q" Contest
The Giles County Kiwanis Club will attempt to set a World Record when it will cook the Worlds Largest BBQ Pork Sandwich at the 2008 SunDrop Country State Championship BBQ Cook-Off and Kid's "Q" Contest, Saturday, May 10th.
The recipe for the colossal feat will include 100 plus pounds of competition style BBQ Pull Pork. It is estimated the Worlds Largest BBQ Pork Sandwich will take 10 to 14 hours to fully cook and prepare. A specially designed platform will be constructed to hold the Giant Pork Sandwich. Volunteer BBQ Teams will cook the BBQ Pulled Pork.
The free admission, two-day festival features a variety of music, food and craft vendors, and children's activities.
