Memorial Day Weekend at Rock City starts the summer off with brand new entertainment, activities and southern food to indulge in at the enhanced premiere event, Summer Music Weekends! Hear sweet sounds of summer Fridays-Sundays, 8:30 am to 7 pm through Labor Day with toe-tapping old-time, bluegrass and country music from Tarryn Aimee Smith, the Highbeams, Taylor Kress and the Old Time Travelers! New this year is WSRC Radio including an interactive kid’s station. Rock City’s very own radio station broadcasts live throughout the park, featuring special appearances from the performing bands, 1930’s era characters, visitors and children! Guests can also step back in time and walk the footsteps of Frieda Utermoehlen Carter, seeing Rock City Gardens through the founder’s eyes. Tours are on a first come, first served basis at 9 am, 3 pm and 6:30 pm daily. Raptor shows return at 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm and 4:30 pm for an educational and entertaining experience showcasing various birds of prey in action. Café 7 is also open seven days a week beginning this weekend, with extended hours coming soon. Enjoy delicious food with a modern twist like fried green tomatoes, shrimp and cheese grits, grilled trout with Georgia peach salsa or house-smoked barbeque! Go to seerockcity.com/cafe-7 for more!
