WLJT's 2008 Bikers for Books Poker Run
Join riders of all makes and models of motorcycles for a morning run of approximately 150 miles through beautiful Northwest Tennessee. WLJT’s 2008 Bikers for Books Poker Run will take place on Saturday, September 6 as part of the 15th Annual Tennessee Soybean Festival. The event will start at the downtown Martin branch of First State Bank with registration from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. The ride will wrap up in the early/mid- afternoon with cash and merchandise prizes, door prizes and 50/50 being awarded at 3 p.m. at the Martin Recreation Complex on Hwy 45E in Martin. Proceeds from this ride will help fund WLJT-TV/DT, Channel 11’s educational programs and initiatives such as Countdown to Kindergarten, Rocky T’s FunZone and the Reading Rangers Literacy program.
