National Cornbread Festival

City: South Pittsburg, TN

See the sights, hear the music, feel the history and taste the cornbread that is cooking in our town. Live entertainment, 5K road race, juried arts & crafts, classic car show, carnival, pancake breakfast, historic tour and good things to eat. This festival honors cornbread with the National Cornbread Cook-Off. Visit Cornbread Alley, sample cornbreads and savor main dish recipes. 
And, come to the Jam Tent! Do you play a fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin or harmonica?  Are you really good or just a beginner?  Anyway you answered the proceeding two questions was the correct answer!  The jam tent is just the thing for you. Feel free to bring your own instrument with you to the festival and visit the jam tent for a "throwdown."  We'll have a host band there as well. 
Visit with us at the General Store area of the National Cornbread Festival on the streets of downtown South Pittsburg. While visiting with all the wonderful people, you can get a taste, and take back home, all kinds of barbeque sauces, rubs, a large variety of homemade candies, chocolate jellies, marinades, award-winning hot sauces, jams, jellies, preserves, fruit butters, peanut & pecan brittle, and aromatic candles.   You’ll see the products of our hometown artists with handcrafted walking sticks and beautiful pieces of art in pen and ink and watercolor drawings.
