Organizers of the annual MusicTree: A Festival of the Arts has announced this year’s lineup, festival dates and information regarding a schedule release party. The third annual edition of the festival is set to take place from Friday June 6th through June 10th in four venues located in Manchester, Tennessee. “We are excited about this year’s festival,” said Manchester Vice Mayor and Festival Organizer Ryan French. “Our philosophy, if you are coming to Manchester for Bonnaroo then it’s certainly worth your time to come a few days early to enjoy MusicTree free of charge.” This year, festival organizers have chose to host a kick-off event the month prior highlighting the official schedule release. “Cinco De MusicTree” will take place on May 5th at the El Manatial Restaurant located at 910 Lincoln Street in Manchester. Admission to the event is FREE, and will feature musical performances from Chase Perryman and The PFWTS and The Aquaducks. Special guest are expected to make an appearance as organizers release the full festival schedule, as well as the official 2014 edition of the MusicTree Magazine. The MusicTree Magazine highlights MusicTree’s mission, information regarding Manchester, venues and biographies on this year’s artist. After two successful years, praises from organizers of Bonnaroo and Susan Whitaker, Tourism Commissioner for the State of Tennessee, the festival is poised to continue its forward momentum. In June over 40 bands are staged to pack venues at Coffee Café, 41 South Bar and Grill, Prater’s BBQ, and Mickey’s Bar and Grill across Manchester for four nights of FREE music. The event, quickly quoined, “The Tailgate Party to Bonnaroo” will welcome Bonnaroo patrons along with regional and local folks to enjoy four great days of free music as everyone waits for the gates to open on “The Farm.” This year’s festival lineup expands MusicTree’s ever-increasing platform by featuring bands from across the country, and even from across the pond in England. MODOC will be one of the headlining acts after a strong showing at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas that earned them a “Staff Pick, Top 10 Performance”. Other regional bands like Skytown Riot, The Decadence, Kim Logan, Wes Sp8, Radar vs. Wolf, The Aquaducks and Mize and the Drive will fill out the roster that also includes an up and coming Canadian band and headliner, YUCA. Manchester Vice Mayor and Festival Organizer Ryan French also added, “Our community is extremely fortunate to experience the impact that Bonnaroo stimulates through Manchester and the state each year.
