Do you hear it? Only the music of Jackson and West Tennessee could connect Memphis’ Beale Street and Nashville’s Music Row. Join us as we celebrate the rich musical legacy of our region with the opening of Jackson’s newest music venue Jackson ‘s Amphitheater at the Market (AMP). Located in the heart of Jackson behind the West Tennessee Farmers’ Market and within walking distance of the Jackson Walk, the AMP kicks off the 2014 Season on May 2. Eleven Free performances are planned for the inaugural season including the following headliners: May 2 Ash Bowers May 9 Kimberlie Helton Band May 23 Little Boys Blue June 27 Rev. Jesse Show July 4 King Beez July 25 Rayburn Anthony, Carl Mann & The Rockabilly Show August 1 Travis Cottrell August 15 Marco A. September 5 Surprise Guest! September 20 Jackson Swing Orchestra October 4 Paula Bridges, Chuck McGill, Colton Parker & The Bandstand Group The open air venue encourages guests to bring their picnic basket or visit one of the food concessions. Music will begin at 7:30 pm. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome at this family friendly event! Free parking is available throughout Downtown. In the event of rain, performances will be moved to the West Tennessee Farmers’ Market shed. Jackson’s Amphitheater at the Market is a collaborative project between the City of Jackson, Jackson Downtown Development Corporation, The Jackson Symphony, Jackson Arts Council, Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau and numerous community volunteers.
