Thursday, August 28 • 7:30 p.m. Wait Until Your Father Gets Home Who knows the stories you’ll hear in these confessions from a good old boy’s life. Michael Reno Harrell hails from the Southern Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, where storytelling is as much a part of the culture as is music. He has spent a lifetime carrying that tradition across America and abroad. An award-winning songwriter and storyteller, Harrell is the consummate entertainer, performing his original songs and stories described as “Appalachian grit and wit.” Always seasoned with a good dose of humor, his stories tell of first bicycles, forced piano lessons, flea market forays, and fireworks mishaps. “Michael Reno Harrell is a classic storyteller with a voice that’s part Marty Robbins, part John Prine.” – The Charlotte Observer
