Events scheduled: - Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store - Our Open House celebration July 4th, 5th and 6th features the introduction of the all new Old Country Store, new buffet selections, all new look in the restaurant and gift shop, specials, door prizes and the launch of the Dixie Café Take Out or Dine In and The Village Baker. Bring the family for a delicious breakfast, lunch or supper and join the festivities. Hours are 6:30 am to 9:00 pm daily. 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on Sunday. Live music Saturday, July 5th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with Jimmy's Nature. - Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum - What better place to celebrate than at the historic home of all American railroad hero, Casey Jones? Weekend plans include $3.00 admission prices and a Director's Reception in honor of Jimmy Bailey, our new Executive Director, to be held Sunday afternoon, July 6th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with FREE admission July 6th from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. There will be Story Time with Miss Judy on Sunday afternoon and door prizes and drawings each day of the open house. Hours are 9:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. - The Antique, Junk & Yard Sale - Not to be missed! We have cleaned out every nook and cranny. There's no telling what treasures you will find. Throughout the weekend next to Casey Jones Mini-Golf. - Providence House - Free tours of our beautiful events venue, an 1837 antebellum home, on July 5th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and July 6th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. - The Village Chapel - Tours Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this historic gem. - Casey Jones Mini-Golf - 4th of July weekend hours will be 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on July 4th and 5th and July 6th from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Activities will include sidewalk chalk drawing, bean bag toss and a bubble station. Red, white and blue popsicles will be available for $1.00 each. The 4th of July weekend mini-golf special: purchase any three admissions and the fourth admission is free. - Tours of the historic Judge Milton Brown railcar at Walking Wisely Life Services. Hours July 4th and 5th are 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. - Art in the Village gallery, featuring local art and artists, will be open during 4th of July weekend from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a drawing each day. - Indigenous Outreach International, a Christian missionary ministry located in the Shops, will also be open offering a door prize drawing for guests in the Bishop's Beard Gift Market. Holiday hours are Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Thank you!
