Dr. Eric Littleton to Perform Piano Concert at Blount County Public Library
While some of his patients soar through the skies in planes, Dr. Littleton’s fingers fly across the keys of a piano.
During the day, Dr. Eric Littleton is an FAA Designated Aeromedical Examiner and Family Practice Physician at the Great Smokies Family Medicine Clinic in Sevierville. During time away from work, he is a concert pianist. And, whenever possible, he even plays musical interludes at his medical office. If ideas evolve for a special arrangement for a piece on which he’s working, he can go to the office piano and try it out.
On Monday evening, January 26, at 7:00 p.m., Dr. Littleton will perform a piano concert at the Blount County Public Library.
At the library, he will perform pieces from two CDs, “Notes on…Love and Friendship” and “The Music Between the Notes.” and possibly some works from a third CD not yet recorded of bedtime music for children. Littleton says that the idea for the bedtime music CD came from patients who express frustration at being unable to get small children to settle down for bedtime and sleep.
Eric Littleton has been playing, arranging and writing music for the piano since he was six years old. With musical tastes ranging from classical to modern music, hymns and worship music remain the central focus of his music. He firmly believes “music has the ability to reach deep within the soul and therefore plays the piano knowing someone, somewhere, who listens may need a new Peace in their soul.”
