The Annual Cherokee Days of Recognition are held the first week-end of August, at Red Clay State Historic Park Activities begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. each day and conclude at approximately 5:00 p.m. Admission is free. Featured attractions include Cherokee traditional and fancy dancers, storytelling, living history demonstrations and more. The Annual Red Clay Open Blowgun Tournament is scheduled to be held on Sunday. Contestants compete for first, second and third place in the men's, women's and youth divisions. The overall points champion is awarded a special trophy.
