The Jackson Theatre Guild exists to promote, encourage, and support quality theatrical productions, the arts, and the educational aspect of theatre in Jackson, TN and its surrounding areas.
Our History, approaching 50 years of service to our community, the Jackson Theatre Guild was chartered in 1965 by Jesse Byrum with the help of co-founders Elizabeth Fosse and Bob Huett and was created in response to overwhelming local encouragement.
The Guild’s first production was The Sound of Music, performed on the Jackson Junior High stage. From that moment on it was clear that this area was hungry for and ready to support live theatre.
