Inexpensive day of activities for families and individuals starting at 8 a.m. with registration for all in front of the Visitors Center Kite flying, pontoon boat rides*, guided nature hikes (wild flowers, birds, butterflies, plants and animals), a regular hike led by TN Trails Association, 3-legged and sack races, crafting, prizes, face painting, hay wagon shuttles, wild animal show, gospel singing, blue grass and folk music, dancers and other live entertainment . (*Children must be over age 3 years old and accompanied by an adult to ride the boats. ) Although the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts affiliated with the park will be selling some concessions for your convenience you are welcome to bring your lunch. So come prepared to enjoy a full day in the park or just come to visit for a while. However, some activities, including the boat rides, require sign-ups for a limited number on a first come, first serve basis. Sign-ups for these will begin at 8 a.m. in front of the Visitors Center.
