Abraham Lincoln Library & Museum - An annual program commemorating Lincoln’s famous speech at Gettysburg, PA. Lincoln asked to say “a few appropriate words” at the dedication of a cemetery planned to honor Civil War soldiers who fell at the three-day Battle of Gettysburg in 1863. The brief address is now considered his most famous work. The program culminates with a Lincoln presenter reciting the Gettysburg Address.
