Their goal is to protect, preserve, interpret, operate, maintain, and administer historic sites in addition to their many programs related to history and historic preservation.
Tennessee Historical Society URL: tennesseehistory.org Since 1849, the Society has worked to promote interest in and preservation of Tennessee's historic sites. Activities include publication of the Tennessee Historical Quarterly, public programs and lecture series, special projects such as The Tennessee Encyclopedia of History and Culture, and active collection of artifacts and documents.
