Two TN Civil War Documentaries Awarded Mid-South Regional Emmys

WNPT Team Celebrates Emmy WinWNPT Team Celebrates Emmy WinTwo of the Civil War Documentary Films featured in WNPT’s Civil War Sesquicentennial Series were awarded Mid-South Regional Emmy Awards, one produced by Nashville Public Television and one by The Renaissance Center. In the Documentary/Historical category an Emmy was presented to David Van Hooser, Steve Hall, Ken Tucker, Doug Jackson from The Renaissance Center for Rivers and Rails: Daggers of the Civil War.In the Historical/Cultural category, an Emmy was given to Ed Jones, LaTonya Turner, Joey Hodge, Joe DelMerico, Clarence Ball from Nashville Public Television for Looking Over Jordan, African Americans and the War.

This documentary series, Tennessee Civil War 150, is made possible by the Tennessee Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission, Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area, Tennessee Dept. of Education, and The University of Tennessee.
