Tennessee Ranks First for Retirees
The latest survey by TopRetirement.com shows that aging professionals are considering the Volunteer State as a post-career home. The state’s retirement-friendly tax provisions, low property tax rates and the lowest cost of living in the country, work together to make Tennessee most attractive to retirees. The site ranked Tennessee as the best state for retirement in 2012 — ahead of Texas (No. 2), Florida (No. 7) and Nevada (No. 10).
