Mona Herring Retires

Mona HerringMona HerringAfter twenty-five years of faithful service Mona Herring, vice president of the Rutherford County CVB, has retired. She started her Chamber and CVB journey in 1987 joining the Chamber as an administrative assistant. She was then promoted to the newly formed position of CVB director in 1995 and has remained there ever since.  Mona was instrumental in the opening of a state-of-the-art visitor center and a county- wide signage program, the most significant one of its kind in the state. Chamber president Paul Latture said, “Mona is the kind of team member you want to keep forever. Her work ethic, generous spirit and positive attitude make her a joy to have around, and she will certainly be missed. We congratulate her on 25 years of service to the Chamber and our community.” The TACVB honored Mona with the Spotlight Award in February of this year, recognizing her leadership and service to the tourism industry. Mona was honored with a retirement reception hosted by the Rutherford County Chamber and CVB.  Congratulations Mona and Happy Retirement. You will be missed!
