Completed Bridge on Foothills Parkway
A ribbon cutting event to display the continued momentum for the Foothills Parkway project was recently held. The Foothills Parkway is a national parkway which will pass through the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. This is one of several bridges to be completed in the "Missing Link" on Foothills Parkway. When opened, scheduled for 2016, this 16 mile part of the Parkway will connect Walland (Hwy 321 near Blackberry Farms) to Wears Valley in Sevier County and in sections will offer some of the best unobstructed views of the Great Smokies to the south and the Tennessee Valley to the North.
