My sister and her husband moved a bit south of Tennessee approximately 50 years ago. I am now 58, Mom & Dad both have gone home, but that trip through Tennessee still is a delightful memory for me. I remember Lookout Mountain was one of our stops.

My Dad loved the hills and we spent alot of time just enjoying the beauty of Tennessee and many of its friendly people. It wasn't Sunday, but we stopped at a church, just overcome by its striking beauty that the Lord blessed your entire state with. I fondly remember my Dad taking more side roads just to see what was around the bend. If any are curious I was witnessing the beauty of Tennessee through the back side window of a '55 Buick Special without air conditioning.

I don't remember for sure but I probably asked how much further to Memphis. I do recall I was always was anxious to get to our next destination.Thank you, Tennessee, for such fond memories.
