Bristol Motor Speedway is known as the "World's Fastest Half Mile." Several times each year, 160,000 racing fans gather at the .533-mile concrete oval with its 36-degree banked corners to watch some of the most exciting racing on the NASCAR and Busch series circuits. Country music star Brenda Lee sang the national anthem for the first race at Bristol Motor Speedway in 1961.

Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon is Tennessee's newest racetrack. The 2005 season includes the IndyCar Series, the ARCA 200, the PEPSI 300, the Busch Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
