President, AC Entertainment
President of AC Entertainment since its founding in 1991, Ashley began promoting concerts in the late 1970s, while attending the University of Tennessee. He has since established himself as one of the foremost independent promoters in the country - creating, producing, and presenting thousands of concerts and events from coast to coast.
Since 1995, Capps has also managed and programmed The Historic Tennessee Theatre, the official state theatre of Tennessee, and was instrumental in the $25 million renovation of the facility in 2004. A second historic venue, the Bijou Theatre, was renovated and re-opened in 2006 under his leadership.
As co-creator and producer of the Bonnaroo and Vegoose Music Festivals, Capps has booked much of the talent, as well as overseen the marketing, ticketing, community relationships, and various facets of on-site operations at the events since their inception.
