Executive Director, Tennessee Overhill Heritage Association
Linda Caldwell is the Executive Director for the Tennessee Overhill Heritage Association, a cultural tourism program in the southeastern Tennessee counties of McMinn, Monroe, and Polk. She has held this position since the program began in 1990 as a pilot project for the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Heritage Tourism Initiative. Now in its eighteenth year, the Tennessee Overhill is viewed as a national model for successful cultural tourism. Prior to her work with the Tennessee Overhill, she was the Director for the Etowah Arts Commission. She has thirty years experience working in the non-profit sector on cultural tourism, rural tourism development, community arts, and preservation. She serves on several boards including the American Association of State and Local History, Tennesseans for the Arts, and Partners of the Cherokee National Forest.
