Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen has been featured on CBS This Morning, won 2013 Food & Wine Best New Chef Award and placed semi-finalist for James Beard Foundation Awards, and awarded Best New Restaurant and Best Italian Restaurant in 2009. This upscale restaurant puts a new perspective on traditional Italian, with all dishes made in-house especially for you. Once a month, on Mondays, is the feature “No Menu Monday,” giving the chefs the opportunity to experiment with new ideas and creations, resulting in a four-course tasting menu for guests.
Andrew Tiger and Michael Hudman both come from big Italian families, where celebrations revolve around food. They interned at Memphis’ Chez Philippe under French Master Chef Jose Guitierrez. The team of Andrew and Michael traveled to Calabria, Italy, to learn Old World techniques at the Italian Culinary Institute. During their time in Europe, they traveled over Italy and lived in Lyon, France, for a period. Returning to America, they refined a business plan and subsequently opened Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen on October 31, 2008.
