Erin Historic District
Erin, TN
Erin, established in 1871, has gift and craft shops. The third Saturday in March is the biggest Irish celebration this side of Chicago.
Originally settled by Irish immigrants who came to build the railroad, the town has developed a two-mile walking trail along the abandoned railroad bed. The trail runs through the historic district, which includes Victorian homes and businesses as well as three 50-foot lime kilns, and a railroad pavilion with outdoor tables. Directions: Highway 49 Runs through Erin, Tennessee. A "Three-Star" community.
