Gravel Hill Community

Gravel Hill is one of the Cumberland Valley’s oldest rural African American communities, established around the Gravel hill Baptist Church on the border between Wilson and Trousdale counties in 1869.  The church cemetery contains the burials of several federal military veterans, from the Civil War to World War II.
