From the bank parking lot, walk to the Civil War marker to get a perspective on the community in the 1800s. Behind the bank is the Lenoir Home, the original 1820 home of Major William Lenoir, founder of Lenoir City. YouÂ’ll also see the preserved ruins of the old Cotton Mill which was at one time the most prominent facility of the Lenoir Plantation.
