This little town was established in the 1850s along Sweet Water Creek to take advantage of its location on the East Tennessee & Georgia Railroad. The Sweetwater Heritage Museum is located just off Main Street, and highlights transportation heritage as well as history of the Tennessee Military Academy. Museum open Sat. & Sun., 2-4 p.m.
