Ranked on Rolling Stone's list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time," Jack White is also a singer, songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist and an actor. He's been the vocalist, guitarist and pianist of The White Stripes, as well as a vocalist and guitarist for The Raconteurs and the drummer of The Dead Weather. White released his debut solo album, Blunderbuss, on April 24, 2012.

White's critical and popular success with The White Stripes afforded him collaboration as a solo artist with well-known musicians, such as Alicia Keys, Beck and Bob Dylan. White produced and performed on Loretta Lynn's 2004 Van Lear Rose album. In 2009, he became a founding member and drummer of his third commercially successful group, The Dead Weather.

Playing a drum at age six, White drew from blues and 1960s rock influences.

Jack White was awarded, in 2011, "Nashville Music City Ambassador" by the Nashville mayor Karl Dean.
