Jack Daniel was a real person, and a pretty fascinating one at that. From birth to death, legend surrounded him. And, in between, he created Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. That alone makes him legendary in our eyes.
Enjoyed around the world, made in Lynchburg, Tennessee, Jack Daniel's whiskey is matured in handcrafted, white oak barrels, in the nation's oldest registered distillery. Personally guided tours are a part of the ambiance.
The whiskey serves as a key ingredient in many beloved recipes--Honey Barbecue Ribs, Black Bean Dip, Sweet Hot Glazed Shrimp and wicked Creme Brulee a la Jack Daniel's, to tout a few. Some recipes may be found in Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey newsletter.
Also, among the recipes (in January 2010 newsletter) you will find, in commemoration of another famous Tennessee gentleman, Elvis Presley, a sublime way to toast the King: the Velvet Elvis. Enjoy!
