Located along Hwy. 57 in the SE corner of Fayette Co. N. of MS state line and 50 mi. E. of Memphis.
The town is a designated Historic District and offers brochures for self-guided walking and driving tours.Homes are private residences, not open to the public. LaGrange was occupied by Union forces from 1862 to the end of the war. Immanuel Episcopal Church served as a hospital. Antebellum homes include the birthplace of Lucy Holcombe Pickens, the “Queen of the Confederacy.”
