Old Greene County Gaol

Greeneville, TN

Built in 1804 - 1805. The rear of the jail nearly touched Richland Creek. The jail was moved stone-by-stone to its present location. 

Directions: Take Exit 23 off of I 81. Travel 12 miles and take the Greeneville Business Exit. Take a right onto College Street at the 3rd redlight and the Old Gaol is on the left.
