The Rattle And Snap Plantation located in Mount Pleasant, Tn on State Hwy. 243 has been referred to as "magnificent" the "most monumental house in Tennessee. William Polk named the property "Rattle And Snap" after having won the land in a game of chance played with beans called "rattle and snap". The Plantation's newly restored Historic Carriage House is open and accepting reservations for overnight guests. 

Directions: Traveling I-65S merge onto TN-396 W/ Saturn Pkwy via Exit 53 toward Columbia/Spring Hill. Merge onto US-31 S/TN-6S toward Columbia. Travel US-31S approx. 9 miles and turn right onto US-412W/US-43S and travel approx 9.5 miles and take the Zion Rd exit and turn left on Zion Rd. Turn Right onto N Main St/ TN-243. Travel approx. 1.1 miles and end at Rattle And Snap on left.
