Located within minutes of downtown Gatlinburg, the Roaring Fork Nature Trail is an easily accessible 5.5 mile driving tour through the National Park. Travel back in time as the trail weaves a story of the people who once lived here. Enjoy the beautiful Eastern Hemlocks and thick rhododendrons, azaleas and mountain laurels. Stop to enjoy one of the many hikes along the way, or simply sit back and enjoy the ride.

To access Roaring Fork, turn off the main parkway in Gatlinburg, TN at traffic light #8 and follow Historic Nature Trail Road to the Cherokee Orchard entrance to the national park. Just beyond the Rainbow Falls trailhead you have the option of taking the one-way Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail (closed in winter).
