The Smith County Heritage Museum is located in Carthage, in the former W.E. Stephen's Building, one of the first manufacturing companies in Carthage.
From I-40 take Exit #258 - turn onto State Route 53 toward Carthage. After traveling over Veterans Memorial Bridge, turn left onto Upper Ferry Road. Take this road into the town square & at the 3 rd. traffic light turn right onto Third Ave. Then take an immediate left on Futrell Alley. There is a parking lot in front of the Museum.
