The site of a 1,600 foot long railroad bridge that crossed the Holston River on eleven stone piers, and an additional 500 feet of trestlework.  This bridge was first burned by Colonel William P. Sanders of the 5th Kentucky Cavalry on June 20, 1863, and would be destroyed no less than four times during the war.
