The Original Blue Orleans Creole Restaurant

chattanooga, TN

In the fall of 2001, Charlie and Beth Meyer opened Papa’s Country Style Restaurant on Amnicola Highway.
Papa’s was a family restaurant featuring home-made favorites, such as slow-roasted pot roast, meatloaf
and fresh vegetables, and had a great following of customers.

However, the Meyer’s always wanted to introduce a new cuisine to the Chattanooga area and decided
to redesign their menu to share their love of the culture and cuisine of New Orleans with their clientele.

In August of 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, allowing many New Orleanians to relocate
to the Tennessee Valley. A large number of these great folks attended Blue Orleans' Grand Opening
on August 29th, 2006, a celebration and blending of cultures, which we call the
"Heart of Chattanooga and the Soul of New Orleans"!
The response to our efforts to recreate the flavor and ambiance of New Orleans has been overwhelming
and we feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to share the love of all things Creole.

In October, 2007 a former employee, Mike Adams, opened a restaurant called
Blue Orleans Restaurant on Market Street, offering a similar menu on Chattanooga’s historic south side.
The two restaurants are independently owned and operated.

We are a family business and our entire staff takes pride in what we do. We are very serious about our responsibility
to provide the very best service and authentic New Orleans flavor with the freshest ingredients, to our customers and friends
