The Thomas Amis Historic Site (c.1780) and Amis Mill Eater are a destination in themselves.   Home of the oldest stone dam in Tennessee, this property was constructed by Thomas Amis in 1780.   Capt Amis hosted many famous figures including John Sevier, James Robertson, Andrew Jackson, Daniel Boone, Bishop Francis Asbury, Andre Michaux, and numerous revolutionary heros.   The Eatery has 2 decks that overlook the historic dam and waterfall.  The old Mill ruins are still standing and witness to an era gone but not forgotten.

The Amis House is a beautiful old stone structure that is occupied by the 5th Generation of Thomas Amis.

Bring your family and friends.  Come to the unique and historic Thomas Amis Historic site for a special meal at the Eatery while you walk thru the grounds of Colonial America.
