A private residence, this brick Federal-style home was built in 1857 by Hamilton Yett, son of German immigrants who settled in the region in the 1780s. After the Civil War, the house sold to Sheriff John Ford Ellison. He housed prisoners in outbuildings that can be seen behind the house. It is No. 9 on Parrottsville’s Heritage Tour.
